Lamella Сontact series KP

TERMA-ENERGO produces KP series Lamella Contacts for current up to 3150 A for contact rods Ø 36, 55, 73 and 90 mm.

Features of lamella contact (hereinafter referred to as KP) of TERMA-ENERGO:

1. Compared to the “Tyulpan” type contacts of other manufacturers, the contacts of the KP have longer length (80 mm) and lamella thickness (4 mm), which allows you to remove much more heat from the contact points. The lamellas in the KP are separated from each other, heat transfer comes from the entire surface of the lamella. Whereas in the “Tyulpan” of other manufacturers, lamellas are paired, so internal surfaces do not transfer heat.

2. Many import and domestic contacts have lamellas which are stamped from copper sheet and coated with Cr 6–9 μm. KP series contact lamellas are pressed from a mixture of copper and silver powders, which gives hardness like bronze, and provides the necessary abrasion resource. Silver coating not less than Ср12-15 microns.

3. KP as a part of contact unit ZI089 passed tests at JSC «NIIVA» for conventional thermal current of 42.0 kA, 3.1 sec, which is the highest rate among similar products. Tests showed a large margin of safety. At a permissible temperature in the contact zone of 260 ° C, GOST 14693-90, clause 2.4.2, the temperature was 190 ° C, there were no welds, blackening. The pulling force of the KP did not decrease, springs did not overheat and did not "release".

4. Four springs create compression of the lamellas, guaranteeing the recommended pulling force from the contact rod of at least 10 kg, which ensures minimal transient resistance and strength of the KP during short circuit. The KP is fastened with a special bolt, which eliminates the pulling of the KP from the contact rod of the switch when the cart is rolled out. At the same time, the backlash of the KP is ensured along the axis of ± 0.5 mm, which allows you to compensate the misalignment of the withdrawable cart and the cell within ± 3 mm.

The listed technical characteristics guarantee certification tests and the declared life of the switchgear. The higher price of lamella contact in comparison with contacts of some manufacturers is compensated by a decrease in risk of emergencies, financial and reputation losses.
